The ChargePoint Home Flex is a 240V Level 2 EV charger that is configurable up to 50A through its mobile app. This charger can either be hardwired or plugged in with NEMA 14-50 or NEMA 6-50 plug options.
It is important to note that if you choose to plug the charger in, the maximum amperage you can reach is 40A. You can reach the maximum of 50A only in the hardwired configuration. Most EV chargers only charge at 40A (or less) and therefore 50A capability is a big distinguishing factor for this charger.
Even if you house is only currently setup for 32 or 40 amp charging, this charger is a “future-proof” option that will work if you decide to upgrade your homes electric setup at a later time.

The Enel X JuiceBox 40 is a 240V Level 2 EV charger that charges at 40A. Like the ChargePoint Home Flex, this charger can either be hardwired or plugged in with a NEMA 14-50 plug option.
Also similar to the ChargePoint Home Flex, the Enel X JuiceBox 40 is ENERGY STAR® certified, UL Listed, and backed by a 3-year manufacturer warranty. Enel X does not offer 24/7 support, but does have great support during normal business hours.
The JuiceBox 40 is wifi enabled to remotely monitor your charging through their mobile app. Enel X does a nice job at displaying charging history to keep track of energy usage. The JuiceBox 40 is voice control compatible via either Alexa or Google Home. The mobile app allows you to schedule future charges when charging electric rates are lower.
